Icarus is a myth in Greek mythology that was imprisoned by a king at the time. In attempts to escape from the king, Icarus's father Daedalus made him wings out of wax and feathers, warning him not to fly too close to the sun. Ignoring his father's warnings, Icarus flew too close to the sun, his wings melted, his feathers burned, and he plunged into the sea and drowned.
