This tee represents Van der Merwe's twisted representation of the Gods through the eyes of a blasphemer of the time. Calling the pantheon, a group of gods 'Liars,' paired with the sentence, "Gods shouldn't lie." Yet this representation of the gods is unusual, visually they appear as a group of more stylish teenagers in an artistic way. The design features cut-out images of Greek statues and Ancient Greek architecture to really convey the mood and feel we wanted for this piece, for every piece at Van der Merwe holds deep meaning.
